Wordle Group SMS Opt-In Policy

Opt-In Method (VIA_TEXT)

Consent is collected via explicit inbound SMS message to our toll-free number. Group members voluntarily text their daily New York Times Wordle emoji grid (full grid including game number and rows) as their first message to the number.

By sending a valid Wordle grid submission, you consent to receive automated SMS related to this private scoring service, including:

• Score confirmations (e.g., "Score recorded: 3/6")
• Error replies (e.g., wrong game number)
• ~3 PM daily reminders if score missing
• Daily team/individual results
• Weekly cumulative summaries (Sundays reset)

This is a private, non-commercial activity for a closed group of friends/family only—no public signups, no marketing/promotional messages.

Opt-In Confirmation

Upon your first valid grid submission, you will receive a one-time confirmation message, for example:

"Welcome to Wordle Scorekeeper! Your score for Wordle [today's #] is recorded ([guesses]/6). You'll get confirmations, reminders & team results. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for info, STOP to opt out anytime."

This confirms enrollment and includes required disclosures.

Opt-Out & Help

Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any message to unsubscribe immediately—no further messages will be sent.

Reply HELP for assistance: e.g., "Wordle Scorekeeper Help: Submit your grid to participate. STOP to unsubscribe. Contact support@wordlescorekeeperorg.org"

Standard message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Frequency: Up to 1-2 messages per day (submissions + possible reminder/results), plus weekly summary—low volume.
